Storm over Great Sand Dunes

Took this a couple of years ago at Great Sand Dunes Natl Park.  A Storm was coming over the dunes and the colors where just spectacular. 

Here I enhaced the shadows with curves and by "over" applying the Viveza filter in Nik's plugins.  A quick subtle twirl effect gave it a unique look.

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Fantastic effect! The swirl works so well with the shape of the sand dune. Love the colors. Very surreal-like something from another planet. Did the dunes look like that or is that where you enhanced the shadows?
