From a display of captive birds at the Newtonmore Highland Games Scotland.
The BG was originally of a crowd of people and a green shade cloth fence.
I isolated the subject in Adobe CC and placed it on a new BG from the local area.
Panasonic Lumix FZ50.

Hi David-welcome! That's a very stormy look for this hawk. You did a great job cutting and pasting. I like that this gives a feel for the bird's natural habitat, and the lighting on the head and eye is very nice. The hawk stands out well against the background as well. The only thing I'd be tempted to play around with is perhaps moving the tree branches away from the front of the head where they confuse the composition a little. But the mood you have created is very effective. I hope you will post some more interesting creations like this.
