I photographed this bull elk during the winter, at sunset, in Yellowstone NP.  The photograph was painted with Topaz Impression, and the lighting was tweaked in Photoshop.  Please click on the image to view the larger version with dark surrounds.  Thank you.

Nikon DX, 200-400mm, f/5.6 @ 1/160, EV+0.67, ISO 400

Wow- beautifully done, Ron. I love the subtle application of "paint", and the picture itself in that light is really gorgeous. I love the simplicity of the snowy background with those soft, subtle tones.

Thank you Cindy. I should have mentioned that I tweaked the sunset lighting in Photoshop, so I edited my narrative to include that.
