Just a quick mention to go along with this subject. There are a few good apps available for your mobile device that can make tracking your mileage very simple. I have been using Track My Drive for 4 years and hope to keep using it for many more. It is as simple as it gets. Start tracking, stop tracking. I have tried a couple others but they didn't come close to the ease of use as Track My Drive.

For 2017 I simply select 2017, it shows my total mileage, email a report to myself and print it out for tax purposes. It even will show you a Google map of each drive and exactly where you went from any trip. It has become one of if not my favorite app I have.

The app is free, but if you want unlimited trips tracked it is $8.99 per year. The best $8.99 per year I spend on my photography by far.

Track My Drive for ios

Doesn't seem to be an android version.
