I guess we aren't dependant on foreign oil anymore, are we??????? Just like the Keystone Pipeline to bring in oil to export!!!!! I worry about the damages to the environment, e.g. prior spills. And what about the oil floating off the California coast right now??? Why???

Well, I think we are still importing foreign oil today. The story is that we are importing a lot less oil today. I heard that US oil imports are down almost 50%. If we keep working at it, this country could become a net exporter of oil in about 10 years. Right now, the US is considered the biggest exporter of natural gas.

I just heard about the oil spill off the west coast last night. Does anyone have a clue as to where it originated?

Oil and gas have already been our #1 export in the recent past and now ranks #3:
