Brown Boobies- Cayman Brac Island

These are delightful in flight, but they seem to hav a little problem landing. Since the landings ar on the razor sharp rocks on the bluffs I can understand. This booby had left its mate and took off. It kept trying to get lined up for a landing and the sitting one gave it a "kiss" of encouragement as it tried yet again.

Steve, this is GREAT! really good eye to see this coming, or know something was coming... as I recall I was sitting on one of those memorable sharp rocks at the time, and the standing bird was hidden from view. You had excellent timing on this one.

Awesome capture! You certainly nailed the moment. My only nit is that it seems a bit soft. I'd love to have it in my files though. I've never even seen a Brown Booby.

No doubt about the action, it's great. The image does look soft to me though and I thought I'd mention it. Probably just in presenting it for the web.

Wow, what a catch! Nice shooting. The image appears a bit oversharpened in places and soft in others. Hope that helps. :)
