Bald Eagle - Homer, Alaska, USA
EOS 10D, 300mm, 1.4x, 1/30, f/9, Flash @ -1/3, ISO 400

Early in the day on the first morning of shooting in Homer I tripped the shutter with the wrong exposure settings in the camera and got an interesting effect where the yellow of the bill and the eyes were exposed well but the snow and Eagle head completely merged. So then I did this intentionally to get a better composition. This was all done in camera with only a levels adjustment in Photoshop to increase the contrast of the bill and eyes.

Very cool, well done. The colors compliment them selves well, and I like your choice of what's included in the image.

I think the comp and the colors work well for this abstract.

Interesting, EJ. This is one on which you might want to use some special effects.

I am at a loss here, bewildered and befuddled, confused between gremlins and leprechauns, Was alcohol somehow a participant in this creation ?? Crazy if you ask me!!!

They say necessity is the mother of creation and I think experimentation is the Gran Daddy of refinement and discovery!!

I like high key images and this really appeals to me. Enough of the bird that there is NO doubt what he is, the bright yellow works well against the white. Funny, I never thought of digital's instant feedback as a way to capitalize on a mistake!

This is definitely different, E.J.

I like it. It's got a surreal appeal to it.
