Very nice. They do look fluffy in this photo :) I also like the green foliage in the FG, makes the scene somewhat.

The greenery really works here, rather than detracting as it does so often.

Very well done, Harvey.

In addition to the above, I like how you left room for their virtual feet. Easy to miss on shots like this.

I'm impressed on the exposure, nice details in the birghter bird while the darker one is not objectionably dark. Definitely tough lighting that you captured well. Fill flash may have worked.

Great shot Harvey, they are starting to look more elegant here and framed well against the dark leaves. 8) :)

I like the interaction of this one. The exposure looks good and the BG really makes them stand out. Question: Do you know why one of the bills is dark and yet the other one light?

Harvey, Nice image of these juveniles!! 8) Quite possibly the chick on the left is a Great Egret.
Have you another view of him where his neck isn't scrunched? Great question, Lana.

It's possible since all the nests of different species are so close together. But they both seem to have the same "do" :D . However, these two appear to be sharing the same nest and the leg color is the same on both. Also you can still see a bit of black left on one. Probably the beaks change color as they mature. Here's another image of the two.

Harvey, Thanks for the added image. The theory on beak color changing from yellow to black was my initial thought, too. Interestingly, none of my many bird books address this issue. In the added shot the black tip can be seen ... which indicates we can likely agree on these siblings!! :D :D
