This Owl showed up this week last year. So far he hasn't returned altough conditions are simalar-cold and snowy!
600 IS,from car, Kirk/Arca Ballhead Provia 100F .

Doug, this is Awesome! Love the perch, love the BG and the bird is fantastic. It would also make a killer horizontal.

What an awesome looking bird! That stare is really intense! I agree with Alan on the horizontal crop suggestion. 8)

Wonderful exposure and detail, excellent perch, but please don't give Alan any more ideas, I could hear his heart pounding all the way to Miami when he saw this perch !!
But you will have to stay after school in detention for not making this image into a horizontal one, still a wonderful image!! Congrats!! 8)

Doug, a bit off the top of the frame would make this one sing. I'm not so sure about a horizontal, because I'd like to see more tree and less sky. Simply wonderful shot.
