This local bird got a little too close. Do you think it works? All comments appreciated and thanks for looking.

As it is it definitely works. Maybe a slice off the right-hand side to take a little more of the wing off. I think that would give it a better balance too. Just my opinion. :?

Excellent exposure and very nice overall detail, would crop the right wing about the same length of the left wing and would make it a little tighter in frame, but that's just me!! Congrats! 8)

Ed, clipped-wing flight shots are my favorites. I always try to get them when the birds are close enough. I love to stare deeply into the eye of a flying bird.

I favor pruning the left wing of the bird, but not by cropping the left side of the frame. Crop from below to keep the body of the bird on the left side of the frame where it belongs.
