Or maybe it was party sunny...the normally harsh light was diffused by cloud cover and made many images possible. This was one.

Nicely done, Dick. I'd probably take about twenty pixels off the left side, but that's a matter of personal taste. Was this one of my buddies at Anhinga Trail?

I like your rhetoric to Sandy :lol: The image is wonderful. Composition and the oblique BG are very effective. This is the first time I'e seen the colour of the eye. The feathers are extremely well defined. I hope to get a 300 f2.8 soon, I'd love the 400 DO but too pricy.

Composition could not be better, excellent feather detail, killer eye and head position, perfect exposure to boot, If cropping is desired it would be on the right, but just a tad!! Excellent!!
