Resized - I forgot that I sized the image prior to the border being put on ;-)
This is another image from "Virginia's Drip" at the Cabrillo National Monument at the tip of Point Loma in San Diego. Once Emma and I were settled the birds appeared in numbers to bathe and eat. This California Thrasher (Toxostoma redivivum) was kicking around in the dirt looking for food. I wish I could have gotten the entire tail, but moving when the bird was this close would have spooked it.

Canon D30, Canon 600mm f/4, ISO 200, 1/180, f/5.6, YarcPlus, Photoshop, USM, Curves, Levels, full frame.

Regards,

Terry

A nice image of tis bird. I would like to see the end of its tail. The curved bill is great.

Your border around the image puts it over the posting size limit of 650 pixels wide.

This is great, and well separated from the BG. I also wish the tail was not cropped.

Nice curved bill!!

Image:
Nice exposure and detail, the low angle is very nice as well, on solid ground I like to see a little more room for his virtual legs, on water I am more forgiving, His tail is also something I would like to see!! Congrats!! 8)
