I spent several hours with this little guy over the weekend. I'm not sure if I like the high key BG, (snow) but he refused to find a more suitable perch.

Comments & Suggestions Welcome.

WOW. This is a spectacular image.

I don't know if these guys are as skittish as the Spotted Towhees down here, but even if they aren't this is outstanding.

The closeness and detail really jump out at you. Really good exposure to retain detail in the blacks and the whites.

Incredible closeup, and great exposure to boot, a tad soft detail wise, maybe you were just slightly under the minimum focusing distance ?

Sweet headshot Chris. There's enough detail in the snow to break up the white BG. I would add some more USM.
