American Wigeon Anas americana

Not really a motif image, is it?

This was taken in November of 2002 at Prospect Park. This duck is either the most colorful hen or a first year male. I can't decide.

Nikon F100, 300/4 AF-S, TC14EII, tripod and ballhead.
Matrix metering, Aperture priority, Sensia 100, f8, SS not remembered.
Slight crop from left and top.

All comments and critiques are welcome. Thanks for looking. :D

:D :D Colours are tremendous. That blue water really compliments the bird's colours.

Bill, this is really a winner.

The sky reflected in the still water and the great reflection really add to a sharp well composed image.

Did I say I like it?

A Sensia moment indeed!!!

Image:
Killer bird and water, excellent colors, great exposure and detail!!
The composition and reflection is also very nice, a little CW rotation maybe is in order, I would have cropped a little tighter for a bigger bird!!
Just my taste!! Wonderful!!! 8)

Beautifully done, Bill, especially the mirror-like reflection. As for the ID - my opinion is that it's either the most colorful hen or a first year male  .
