I really like it. To me the grass creates a nice feel of the bird's habitat and is not a distraction at all.

This is top-notch. A vertical to include the feet would be nice too, but I'd certainly have taken it this way as well.

This is good the way it is grass and all. I might have tried to go for a portrait of this or as Chas mentioned, back off on the focal length a little, but I still like it. :)
