Doug, this is is a great capture of a difficult to photograph bird. The light and bg are really nice. My only wish is for a natural perch.

Doug,

Great first post. The pushed Velvia may have come out a little contrasty here. A little work in curves would make it pop. Great action and pose.
If it were mine, I would be tempted to clone out the wire.

Nice wing stretch. Would be nice without the barbed wire, but sometimes we take what we can get :).

Doug,

This is very sweet! Nice wing stretch, and pose. Wish the wire wasn't there, also wish it were mine. Very nice!

Well done! I actually don't mind the wire, I just wish it weren't so straight across the bottom of the image. But the bird is strong enough to make it work anyway.

Great shot! You have an interesting pose from a cool bird in beautiful light. I actually like the barbed wire here.

Doug,
I love it. The post and barbed wire do not bother me one iota. Afterall, this is where these birds are frequently seen.

An excellent shot....great light and details. Normally barbed wire doesn't bother me as that's where you find many birds. Somehow I'm not sure but what I wouldn't clone this barbed wire out.

I like this a lot. I don't mind the perch as much as I mind the wire. I could have lived with just the post. Welcome to NSN.
