Hi, Alan! Great image -- love the color and the pose and composition.

I'm betting the original slide is very sharp but I think the scan lost a bit of detail? I'm so much more aware of scanning artifact since starting the shoot digital, sorry if that's a nit. :)

A lovely monochromatic image, Alan. A yellow/magenta cast is present, but you probably wanted it that way.

Alan,

Very nice shot. I like the open beak and how the background color works so well with the bird and the perch.

Alan,
Very nice pose. It looks like it lacks a little sharpness.

Pose, perch, detail and colour tone all come together here in a very nice image Alan!

Great shot of a cute bird! I like the similarity in tones of background, bird and perch.

A very nice composition, but the colors are off a bit.

Nice earthy tones - the open bill is good too.

Great composition. I'm having a little problem with the image since the midtones seem too bright to me. When I level it in photoshop at 0, .88, 255, it looks a lot better to me. Do you think it's just differences in the monitors?
