Canon 1D 500mm f4 2x, Tripod Ball head Sidekick Leveling head, Manual exposure sunny 16 1/1000 @ f10, Auto focus.

It's cool the way he separates so crisply from the background. I only see these guys as nearly unrecognizable blips through my scope. Maybe the insanely cold weather makes them less wary. :wink:

Great eye-finger coordination to get such a sharp beauty. For printing you may want to Gaussian blur a little the background to improve the graininess.
