Mandarin Duck

EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4 +1.4TC, ISO 400, F8, EV -1.

Nature's colours never cease to amaze and fascinate me, not least in these wonderful little ducks!

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

Excellent detail and wonderfully soft background. I would like to have a little more on the bottom to complete the cheek feathers but that is my preference and not a nit. :D

 Excellent. Whites are terrific with lots of detail and those cheek feathers are wonderful. Stands out from the BG beautifully. Wish I had one like this, I have'nt even seen one yet. Really like these potraits, I need to try some.

A pleasure to view, Carol. Like the tiny rust feathers going into the white.

What a portrait! My "if only" would be to be a bit lower for a ground lvel shot, but still a keeper....

Carol, a lovely head shot of one of the most beautiful ducks around !!
But you should not pet him before the photo shoot, his head feathers are a little messy, I know it's hard to resist but do the petting afterward!!
Lovely!! 8)

I'd second that, and add a little room on the left for the same reason. Still very nice.
