This young one has been staying in the area on our local bay for several weeks. It appeared to return to the same spot every half hour or so, I waited in the best lit area and though wary it came close enough for a few frames.

Excellent. I really like the soft, earthy tones in this image. The alert pose adds some life to this as well.

The water and grebe being nearly the same color makes for an excellent shot!

:D :D Excellent shot Ken. A bird that does not like human approach too well, and as usual, your patience really pays off.

Excellent image!! I like the monochromatic look to this. These grebes are so much fun to watch. :D

Ken,

This is a very nice shot. I like how the water complements the color of the grebe.
