Northern Harrier

Alan's great phoebe image made me decide to post this guy. Maybe a great idea for a motif -Birds Posing for the Shot.
This ain't the Bosque, it's a mid-Missouri corn field. Sunny and 6 degrees F.
D1X 500/4 x1.4 Incedent Meter. Manual.

Comments Appreciated.

Enjoy

She's looking right at you, Chip !! I would like her larger, but adore the environmental aspects as well. 8)

I like the environment shot here. You must have given her your best wounded mouse squeak to get her to look directly at you like that!

Chip,

Very nice shot. Love the habitat colors and the head turn toward the camera.

Hey Chip. Nice catch. I like the environmental element and head turn. My only question is what's up with that red eye?

It does look red in the post. I went back and looked again at the raw and it's a bright yellow/orange color. From the bright sun over my shoulder?

Maybe she stayed up too late last night????

Not too small in the frame for me.....the only one I had was a dust speck...thought I needed to clean my sensor. Great catch....I think the look at you is a "Fly by.....catch me if you can" look.

Chip, this is great. I might clone out the two reeds that are touching the birds wing.

I like the added interest the converging corn rows create.

I very much like birds small in the frame when presented this nicely. The perfect pose and corn rows are just great!
