Northern Shoveler

Taken last November was this female Shoveler at a nature reserve here in Hong Kong. Apparently there are more female than male for this species. Have been trying to capture a male Shoveler up close without luck so far ... :roll:

EOS-10D, EF500/4L IS + EF1.4x
Evaluative @ -1/3, ISO 200

A beautiful female shoveler. They, as most ducks here, are hard to get close to and the females do seem more prevalent. Nice job with this one.
