An eye and a beak. That's all you get when you grossly underexpose a Greater Antillean Grackle (Quiscalus niger) in the shade and with a dark background.
Shot today at Parque Central, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Got rid of a faint outline on top of the head and of the grain in the BG to achieve the effect.

Very unusual and kinda spooky! I quite like the uniqueness of this shot although I wish the touch of green above the head wasn't there.

I have to agrre with laura about the green. This is a cool and different shot. I think this would look great as a print.

Very unique image, Jose -- I like it a lot. It definitely portrays a sense of mystery. I wonder if this is considered a "low-key" image, as it's the exact opposite of high-key.

I REALLY like this shot. I'd be tempted to crop a little right and bottom, but that is minor. Sorry if I'm stupid, but was this accidental or deliberate?

Great job. I like how it just disappears into the darkness.

This is really cool and very unique.

I'd be tempted to clone out the small bit of green behind the head but that is a very minor point and I don't think it is neccessary.

Excellent!
