Canon 1D 100-400 IS 5.6 lens at f8 1/640 ISO 200 Gitzo Tripod and B1 Ball. Evaluative Metering -1/3. Autofocus on Servo. Phoenix, Arizona.

These Red Crested Pochards are extremely handsome ducks, especially the males, I tried to take advantage of the yellow canopy of trees reflected on the water. I hope you enjoy.

WOW, Juan. The pochard is gorgeous and the water juts blows me away.

Don't know what could be done to improve this one.

Wow Juan, this is a beauty!

Is that a feather floating in the water (appears to be sitting on the reflection of the back)?

Cloning it out would make for a cleaner image and will keep it from too closely resembling 100s of images I have made at Castalia pond in OH.

Great job Juan!

Both the duck and the water are gorgeous. I'd clone the feather as well. You did well at Duckshop!!!

The water alone is art -- add the duck and your approaching masterpiece. Very impressive work here.

Juan,

Gorgeous image, the silky water is perfect. The only thing I would criticize would be that I would have left a little more room on the right side, behind the pochard.

Thanks for sharing.
