This is my first post at NSN. Thanks to Arthur Morriss' bulletins, otherwise I wouldn't know about this new? site. Why have you separated, btw? I didn't follow forums at NPN for quite a while. Anyway, I love your images, that's why I am here.

I was lucky to find this juvenile occupied by feeding. He stayed on one rock for quite a while so I had enough time to get close. It was exciting, I was in the water a few meters off shore in a strong current, setting sun was behind me and I had this beautiful bird a few meters in front of me. I hope you like it.

Hi, Fero! Good to see you at NatureScapes.Net! I remember that you were kind enough to comment on my web site when I was developing it, and also asked about the maple leaf. :)

Where did you find this Sandpiper? This is a gorgeous image, the bird turned slightly towards the camera, stepping up on the cool looking rock, the neat background. The bird really pops out of the frame, too.

Well done, and glad you found us!

I really love the moss covered rock it is perched on. It really makes the bird stand out against the nice clean background. Exposure and sharpness seem right on. Well done!

Hi Heather! I am glad you remember me.

I found this Sandpiper at a local park just 15 min by metro from Montreal downtown. It is called Lachine Rapids and it is famous for rafting and white water. Closeby is also one of the largest heronries on St. Lawrence river and birdwatchers come to watch Night Herons there.

BTW, I am now working on my new web-site. Technically it works, but still I haven't uploaded all the pictures. Any and all comments are welcome. It can be found temporarilly at http://www.wnp.sk/index.php (later just http://www.wnp.sk).

Love the perch and bg, much cleaner and more impact than mine. No flash? The bird looks well lit. Welcome to NSN.

Fero,

This is a very nice shot. The slight head turn and the raised foot are great. I really like the rock as a perch.
