Very well done, Jim. The pose is great, I like your composition, and the reflected ripples on the bottom of Rosey's "tutu" is excellent.

Love the pose and the color as well as the reflected light from the water. I'm a bit ambivalent about the cropped reflection.

Gorgeous image, Jim. Wonderful comp, colors, light and detail. The amount of reflection appears just right to me.

Fantastic light & pose. You caught him in nice water too - too often I've found them in yucky-looking water that doesn't make for nice images.

Jim,
This guy looks like he's having a very bad hair day. The colors are wonderful. Exposure looks perfect.

Everything is spot-on in this image. Beautiful bird too. The preening behavior adds a lot to the image for me as compared to a static portrait.

Nice shot, Jim!
I particularly like the warm light. I'm unsure of the cropped reflection here. It just makes me wanting to see more every time I look at it ...

Lovely! Exposure is right on; might try to place the bird with more space on the left if given another opportunity.

You did a fine job here. I love the colors. I too am not sure about the reflection at the bottom. Still not a big enough nit to worry about.

Hi Jim, Great light, color and sharpness. I'd crop a bit more off of the reflection to keep folks from wanting to see more of it <smile> The thing that keeps this one from being a contest winner is the fact that the bird's head is not parallel to the film plane. Strive for that (and a clear look at the eye) in nearly all of your preening images and your work in that area will rise to the next level.
Best and love, Artie
