E.J. put on a great Duckshop and we chances at 14 species of ducks plus other assorted birds. The ducks at this pond were constantly moving in and out of the shadows and were quite challenging. There is detail in the white feathers on the slide but my scanning skills have not been able to bring them out in the scan.

F5, 600mm f/4, Gitzo, Wimberly, Flash @ -1 2/3, Provia 100F @ 200

All comments greatly appreciated. Thanks

This looks great. A little curves adjustment to make the head a hair lighter might make it even better. Composition here is outstanding and the water is the patented green :D

:D Very, very beautiful image. The water is fantastic. The bird is excellent.

These are very shy here in Ontario, though we had one that joined a group of Mallards for a couple of days. When I went to locate it the next day, it was GONE

A pleasing composition is difficult to achieve with these ducks. You did very well with this one. :D

Alan,

Very nice shot. I like the pose and the green water. Well executed for the changing light conditions.

Alan,
Excellent start to what I suspect will be a series of Duckshop images. You are obviously more organized than I. Enjoyed shooting with you; let's see some more.

Alan,

Very nice. It will now only take another 12 weeks to show the rest of the species that we photographed :D Like, Joe I'm not quite ready to post, so you'll have a nice head start. It was good shooting with you.
