I shot this happy America wigeon drake last evening over my back fence. That was before the 40+ wood ducks flew in and distracted me. They began to fly up into my yard after sunset with me sitting there, scurrying all around behind me. After it was completely dark I could hear them flying in and out of my yard with a rush of massed wing beats. Wood ducks are quite active at night. Amazing to see and hear.
I have always had a hard time getting the eye to show on the AW drakes. Any suggestions? Nikon D2h, 500 F4 AF-S, 1/125th @ f7.1, SB-800 at -1 1/3 EV as fill flash. |
