This was taken at Point Lookout a couple of weeks ago.

Canon 1D 500mm f4 2x, Tripod Ball head Leveling head Sidekick, Manual exposure using incident meter 1/400 @ f8 Iso 400, Auto focus.

Nice exposure and nice push up, the only time I have seen these birds was in Uyak Bay, Alaska, and about 300 feet between us, Thanks to the avid hunters of Alaska!!! :cry:

Grrreat shot. Very beautiful bird. When they stand in the water, usually the next move is to flap their wings. Did you get any shots of a wing flap?
