The is the mate of the female I last posted. I'm doing this on the laptop and hope its not too far off. I seemed to like the images I got of these in bright overcast lighting better than direct sunlight.

Steve, the black on dark green works well here because of your excellent exposure. I like the slight head turn. The image is clean and downright beautiful.

Steve,

This is a beautiful shot. Sharp and well exposed. The bird stands out well from the nice green background. The perch has alot of character.

Steve,

this is such a rich feel to it. Like the dark green BG and the pose of the bird. I do feel that the perch is a little thick for the size of the bird, although it has a lot of charater

Steve,
I really like this one - especially the BG. In many ways I prefer bright overcast conditions to bright sunlight.
The bird really pops.

Beautiful photo. I like the bg, the head turned towards you, and the catchlight adds alot. You nailed the exposure and that brings it all together.

Nice photo of a bird I hope to see someday (in a form other than the Orioles mascot 8) ). Good catchlight and the head turn adds a really nice touch.

Great! Love the turn of the head, the rich green background, and the interesting perch.

I really like this; feel it is spot on perfect and if you intended a slightly cooler tone in the white, that works well here.

Very nice image. Great shadow detail and colors. You did well here. One question though. What lens do you use that is 800mm and shoots at F7.1? The only one I can think of is the Sigma 300-800 F5.6 HSM. Is that right?
