The flash looks fine to me, it's the background that is a bit distracting. Flash as main would have helped with that. Nice pose and composition! These guys are AT are so tame!

Greg, are you advising that I should have shot this with flash as main so background would have been darker?

Great portrait. I like the sharpness and comp, but I see a strong color cast in this one.

cheers, Oliver

I have to agree that the BG is a little bit distracting. I like the lines created by the wings.

John
I like the shot but I have to agree about the BG. I get caught with that a lot....just get too wrapped up in the bird and don't think about the big picture.

I love the bird, and the BG ! just remove the green cast, decrease the luminosity on the BG a little , and see of you like it . :D
Monique, I am packed and ready to go, I may not look like much but I am well behaved and can grow on you like a fungus, with no cure for it!!!

Cool shot but it has a very heavy green/cyan cast to it.

Nice capture, but I agree with the flash as a main light you may also been able to use a smaller stop for more DOF.

A great pose with an unusual background. I'd really like to see this with the color cast removed.
