Alan,

Nice clean BG and the perch does a nice job of framing the bird. Well done.

What a nice image. You're going to be tough when you comfortable with the digital body. :D

Alan,

Sort of standard shot for you, great bird, wonderful perch, OOF BG that really makes the bird pop, etc, etc. I'm really jealous. :x

The only curve here appears the be the bird's bill! :P Guess it must have been a pretty smooth transition for you to digital, this is awesome! The greenery and composition puts this one over the top for me.

Awesome work Alan - great perch too! Since I can't tease you about magenta color casts anymore I'll just say that I'd have cloned out that tiny white speck in the upper left corner... :P

cheers, Oliver

Hi Alan. I especially love the way that bright eye stands out against the plain bird. Very nice!

A real beauty with a piercing eye. How do you get these guys to sit in the right place? I have been experimenting with perch setups for the past couple of weeks and the little buggers avoid the sweet spot about 10 times out of 8.

You really took to digital like your birds take to your perches. Excellent shot.....love the perch...it seems to be made just for this guy. That eye is certainly a grabber as well.
