Zenaida Dove (Zenaida aurita)

This guy is a very common dove in the Caribbean. It formerly existed in South Florida and the Keys, but it was hunted to extintion. Wonder why! At 3 to 4 pounds, it would probably make a nice meal :twisted: !

It does have a tilted feel but grass doesn't always grow straight up. The light is a bit bright as well but still a good shot.

Looks like a close cousin to the Mourning Dove. I don't think its too bright nor does it seem tilted to me. I do wish for a head turn so that we could see its face better.
