Burrowing Owl
Captive
EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4

You are so lucky to have these in the wild. We only have them at our wild animal park, but this little one is such a character and will chatter away to us when we stand quietly nearby. He runs around and dives in and out of his burrows - all the time chattering away. Love him!! :)

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

Peek-a-boo, huh?

This is very nice Carol. The focus, exposure & BG are really right on the button.

Love it -- where was this taken? If close enough I'd love to see this guy/gal.

This is an awesome shot - they are quite abundant here in the US - I see them regularly but rarely could you get a shot this good.

Very nice image of a (sometimes) comical bird. I would like to see a little more DOF, but that is a minor nit. Thanks for sharing.

A little tight on the left, but otherwise perfect. Wonderful lighting.

I think this is wonderful although I might like just a tad bit more room for his whiskers. The rich brown background really accentuates the colors of this owl. :)
