This is great. The ripples in the water and the drop on his bill, excellent. Is that the normal shape of its head or did something happen to this guy. It looks cut off?

This is extremely cool! What an interesting looking duck... I really like the texture in the head feathers.

I think it's 'cause it's very cold today. He may be a little fluffed up to keep warm :)

OMG - the coolest duck of all! I have searched parts of Asia for these to no avail and have yet to even find a captive one. I hope to get a shot half as good as you before they are extinct or I am extinct :)

Looks like a female Baikal Teal. The facial pattern on a male would be even more impressive  The number of this species is on a fast decline unfortunately ...

A nice shot with lots of details. Love the silvery ripples too, Dave!

Monique, I am packed and ready to go, I may not look like much but I am well behaved and can grow on you like a fungus, with no cure for it!!!

This is a beautiful image....love the water and detail. Now...this is a new duck for me...and quite interesting. I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to take a field trip "across the pond" for some of your ducks!!!
