Bosque del Apache, NM

By standing atop the Farm deck, I was able to get a number of sandhill flight images at eye level, with the distant mountains providing a sense of depth, and place for the subject.

Chas, the crane is perfectly placed in the frame relative to the mountains.

Just cruising along.... Very nice shot. I love the mountains in the BG and the level view of the crane.

I agree, looks great to me. I like the fact it is so sharp from beak to feet.

Beautiful flight shot. I really like the way the mountainous horizon seems to somewhat mimic the shape of the bird's belly. Well done!

Chas,

The BG mountains certainly make this better than the routine total sky BG.
