Motif: Wild Turkeys

There are about 12 wild turkeys at the retreat center across from my school. I normally only see them when I don't have my camera and then are very skittish. I did get this shot one day but actually had it in the "ditch" file. The last 4 going into the brush can be seen. It may not be a good shot, but it certainly fits the motif.

Canon 10D, 500mmL IS, shot from car window
ISO 200, f/10, ss 1/200, EV -1
PS - cropped slightly all around, USM

You would think that with all that coloring they would stick out like sore thumbs. They blend in remarkably well to their surroundings and you did well to capture that.

Not easy to get turkeys out in the open. You did well here showing how they'll simply disappear.
