Good one--nice soft light, perfect exposure of the sunlit white combined with nice open shadows under the wings.

Harvey,

This is an excellent flight shot with very nice light and wing span.

I love this shot Harvey but thought it looked a tad yellow. I downloaded the file, I hope this is OK, tell me if it isn't, and used the color selection eye-dropper tool to select the whitest part of the bird, then I went to levels, double-clicked on the set-white point icon and then adjusted RGB to 236. I did this again in another area. Then I desaturated the yellow channel by about -20, then selected the color of the bill and resaturated it. I hope you like the finished result. Best regards, Bill

You did a very good job in PS. However, the bird was stained yellow from whatever and I just chose to leave it in. Not that what you did is wrong because we all have different preferences and it's just a matter of interpretation ...not right or wrong or better or worse. For example I chose to give the sky a Velvia type saturation as opposed to the original. Here's the out of camera original:

I could not agree more Harvey, interpretation is what this is all about IMO. Considering the variables that we have a photographers, the choice of final production is limitless, all in the eye of the photographer and what the photographer wants the viewer to see. I like your original image very much. Best regards, Bill
