This was taken at Point Lookout.

Canon 1D 500mm f4 2x, Tripod Ball head Sidekick Leveling head, Manual exposure using incident meter 1/320 @ f10 Iso 320, Auto focus.

Jimmy,

Very nice, low angle, good light, little bow splash, an underappreciated bird not often well-photographed.

Birders should appreciate the extension of the bill well up the forehead, a distinguishing feature from female King.

I just got back in town and dont have time for many comments, but wanted to say that this well deserves more than six replys. This is an outstanding shot of a tough bird to get close to. Love the low angle and the wake in front of the bird. Great work.
