Greater Yellow Legs Bosque del Apache NWR, NM

Alan's GYL got me to thinking about one I shot from the same deck.

I dug through the untouched images and here it is. It looks like it might be the same bird.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Tack sharp -- a nice shot in its environment.

Great looking shot, Jim! If it's not the same bird it must be a close relative.

Jim, I'm betting they're twins!! Very sharp image, and I like the habitat!!! I'd suggest cropping a smidge off the top which lessens the angle IMO. Happy Holidays!! :D

I love the pose. Jill's crop suggestion has merit. This is very nice!!

You guys are making me want to post my low angle shot of this guy :) Its a very nice shot given the high shooting angle from the Chupadera Deck.

This is too funny. I swear, not only does it look like the same bird but even the setting looks the same. Nice job getting this guy. I only saw them at a distance. I like Jill's suggestion on the crop...it would work very well here as well.

Happy Holidays to you as well.

Nicely done. I don't think I ever saw this bird, or if I did, it was only from a distance.
