Merry Christmas and a healthy Holiday season to everyone

Taken ealier this week with Jim Neiger. Neither one of us could disturb this fellow within 20 feet of us but across a small strip of water. Unfortunately I could not do much with the BG. I have some with a fish but it gets lost against the log. Would anyone blur the BG?

10D, 100-400, 1.4x, no flash, just about full frame.

Comments and reposts welcome.

Jim

Bluring the bg would have to include equally bluring it in the reflection. A daunting task if you ask me. :D
I like this as is. The reflection really makes this for me.

Love the photo -- amazing reflection.

OK Alex, how did you do that -- inquiring minds want to know. Very nice job.

Alex,

I like your improvement better than the original, and yes its Alan's old log.

I guess blurring the background wasn't that hard. Nice work, both of you. Merry Christmas Jim. :)

The reflection and crouched down pose are just fantastic. I do like the repost a bit better than the original. The lolling tongue is a nice bonus too! Happy Holidays to you!
