Very clever! I can confirm they are African birds- saw and photographed them several times in Kenya / Maasai Mara reserve.

This bird is indeed a Southern Ground-hornbill (Bucorvus cafer). It is the largest species of Hornbill in the world and one of the longest living birds. They live in central, south and east Africa. I've photographed them in northern Tanzania.
