Canada Goose Bosque NWR, NM

These guys were hanging around a ditch on the Farm Loop road and not terribly cooperative.

I wish the BG wasn't so distracting. Flash would have opened up the dark head some. Next time. :D

The background doesn't bother me too much since this is where he lives. You did well to get the eye to show up against the black head feathers.

Overall, this is very nice. :)

Jim, almost looks like a decoy. Very nice light on this shot. I agree with Bill, the catchlight help a lot.

I'd say this is a Bosque Motif shot. A very nice habitat shot....and the catchlight really helps.
