I think this is posted in the correct place--the motif is the one for wildlife. I wasn't aware that each forum has its own motif. This Northern Parula paused briefly in its feeding frenzy to sing (more of a buzz, actually). These are really tiny, smaller than a chickadee. Canon 1D, 600mm. I didn't use fill flash because I didn't want to blow out the white blossoms. All comments and suggestions from improvement greatly appreciated.

Bob, This is just sweet. this would make a killer vertical as well. A catchlight might improve it but it is a great shot as is. catching him singing puts it over the top. Not sure that it fits in with the Motif of Penguins, but I'm sure glad you posted it :)

Alan, I was in the wildlife forum and noticed the motif was vocalization. This seemed to fit the motif. Since it is a bird photo (also wildlife) I wasn't sure where to post it, so I put it in the avian forum. As bad as my bird ID skills are, I can usually tell the difference between a penguin and a warbler. Thanks for your comments.

PS. There is a catchlight in the right eye, just not very visible because of the angle.

I think we can be flexible with the Motif Themes. At least you picked one that is current somewhere on this site. ;)

Awesome shot!!! I love how the colors of the environment are echoed by the Parula. The singing puts this way over the top for me. :)

Bob, I see a catchlight in the bird's right eye, but see none in his left eye (on the right of the image). Could be my monitor.
