Shot at Cove Harbor near Aransas Pass, Tx.
I wasn’t sure how to crop this, so I went with showing the water wake instead of flying into the picture.
I was upset I didn’t have to do more PS since that is what I enjoy most. Photography would be a lot more fun if you didn’t have to take so many dam pictures.

The wake is certainly a finishing touch to the action. Nice capture. I would try a little more USM as it is a tad soft.

Excellent capture. The wake makes the shot. I think the slight softness is caused by motion blur. I think a higher shutter speed would have avoided this. That being said I think that the blur adds to felling of movement and I like it. Congrats a real winner of a shot. Thanks for sharing.

Camera shake is the culprit here for the softness in the image, still a very nice takeoff, Congrats!! 8)

If there is more room in front of the bird in your original, you can use a panoramic crop of 800 X 400 pixels. That may solve your dilemma.

Nice shot Don! I like the blurred wings and the feet touching the water.
