Semipalmated Plover Galveston Island, TX

Not much drama here, just a simple field guide look in evening light.
The origanal slide is warmer than this, but my scanner brings out so much magenta that I may have over curved it in PS.

Nikon F5, 600/4, 1.4X, Provia 100, Ground plate with Arca Swiss ballhead.

Excellent shot, Alan. I like the slight head turn and the wonderful BG. Whites borderline.

Nice shot Alan. I love these low angle shots and that BG is great.

I'll bet the slide is a killer. The white on the side of the breast looks too hot but, that is probably the scan and curves. Lovely shot, great pose, details and background. Super work.

Lovely brown tones in this overall, and of course an extremely cute bird. :D

Love the low angle and the straightforward look. I suspect you're right on the curves.

Looks great to me--I think the whites are close to being hot, but they don't bother me in the least bit.
