Shot this spring in early morning light using my car as a blind.

Canon 10D with 500mm and 1.4TC, ISO 200, 1/400 @f/8. Cropped about 20% all the way around.

Cheryl,

This is so nice. Love the over the shoulder look, the small delicate perch and the beautiful background. You may not know this, but we have gone to 48 hours between posts in the avain gallery.Posting guidelines

Beautiful shot in great light. I do see a bit of a magenta cast in the bill area.

Outstanding shot. Color, perch, bg, light are great. The only thing that could make this better is if the head was turned just a bit more your way. But you knew that.

Excellent job Cheryl.. background is so nice, and I like the "delicate" perch as noted above.. Way to go.

Oh, wow, sharp image in sweet light. Perch is spectacular! Very well done on a bird I'd love to get myself. :)

Cheryl,

Very sweet image! Just doesn't get much better that this. The perch, background and feather detail is just outstanding, wish the head was just a millimeter more toward the camera. Sure wish this was in my files. Gorgeous bird and image!
