Good one Artie! I like everything about it, BG, reflection of the ripples on the bird, and the eye looking right at you. The attitude comes from the bird wondering what that crazy human is doing crawling in the mud.

Great, I love the detail in the head and eye, can't imagine the time and patience it takes to get a shot like this one.

You said comments welcome, how about a question from a rank beginner? The photo is great but how could I get the DOF to make the end of the wings and tail have the same sharpness as the head and eye? Is this possible with the long glass? Just a ? maybe not meant to be included in the critique forums.

Lovely. Rich, clear color; sharp eye on the bird. Full frame?
