Mute Swan Cygnus olor
EOS3, 500 F4L IS, Provia, full frame

Taken at a local reservoir.

Whites are close to the edge, I will get the hang of that one day ;) but I like this one anyway.

Comments welcome and thanks for looking.

Dave, this is beautiful. The low angle adds a lot. I love the view of the bird's wake. The shadow doesn't disturb me a bit. To get the swan slightly off-center, I'd take a wee bit off the right and balance that with some off the top. Well done.

Excellent perspective. I think the head turn is important in this shot.

I also like the low perspective, the dark blue background and the head turn very much.

Nice one Dave. I like the straight on approach and the wings slightly up. The dark blue background adds drama. Good work

Dave, This is a wonderful shot, lovely head turn, lovely the little bow waves as it pushes hard towards you, You already mentioned the whites, but there is nice detail and Sandy suggestion about the crop is a good one as well, Still I will take it as is, Very nice!! Congrats!!! 8)

Dave, Beautiful low angle. The dark BG really sets him off.

A classic swan pose, for sure! The head turn is perfect and I also like the drama of the lighting against the dark bg.
