Harris' Hawk South Texas

D1X, 600/4.

Shot this a couple of days ago. This was not one of the perches that I usually carry with me :)

This one is great....love the "over the shoulder look". You have done an excellent job with the new camera.

I suspect that you are an impostor pretending not to know the digital work and work-flow, I am sure that you been playing around with that D1x a long time!!! Come clean and spill the beans, as far as that perch being just there, I am sure it's model AMRP2003SBWF, which is an Alan Murphy raptor perch 2003 sun bleach wood finish!!!
Wonderful capture to boot!!! 8) 8) 8)

Unusual pose...I like it..most perching one sees are of the "resting" type...this is as close as you can get to "taking off" without taking off. Leaves you with a feeling of anticipated action. All the techs are spot on too.

Sweet shot Alan! Love the showing off of the rusty feathers on the leg and the gorgeous cere.

Way to go!
